How to: Enable and Manage Mailman in NodeWorx

Mailman is a software package that may be used to manage electronic mail discussions and e-newsletter lists.

From the NodeWorx control panel, users may enable Mailman on the server, manage the service status, and reset mailing list passwords.

To Enable Mailman

Mailman is automatically enabled by default on new installations of InterWorx

  1. Log into NodeWorx from the browser (https://ip.ad.dr.ess:2443/nodeworx)

  2. In NodeWorx, navigate to Server > Settings

  3. Under Mail Options, select On from the Mailman dropdown

To Check the Status of the Mailman Service

  1. Log into NodeWorx from the browser (https://ip.ad.dr.ess:2443/nodeworx)

  2. In NodeWorx, navigate to System Services > Mail Server > Mailman

  3. Under Mailman Service Control, the Mailman Status bar indicates the current status of the service

    • It is also possible to control the status of the service from this interface:

      • Play starts the service

      • Arrow restarts/refreshes the service

      • Stop stops the service

To Reset a Mailman List Password

NodeWorx administrators have the ability to reset the password associated with a Mailman list. This password is required for SiteWorx users to administrate the list.

  1. Log into NodeWorx from the browser (https://ip.ad.dr.ess:2443/nodeworx)

  2. In NodeWorx, navigate to System Services > Mail Server > Mailman

  3. Under Mailman Password, select the list to update from the Mailman Lists dropdown

  4. Update the Change Password field with the new password

  5. Update the Confirm Password field with new password

  6. Click Update
