How to: Manage SSL Certificates For System Services

InterWorx-CP provides a simple to use interface for managing SSL Certificates on an InterWorx-CP System. From the SSL Certificate Management screen you can view and edit a service’s SSL Certificate, generate a self signed SSL Certificate, and update all services in a single step.

How to: View a Service’s SSL Certificate

  1. Click the Server menu item if it is not already open.

  2. Click the SSL Certificates menu item.

  3. Locate the service that you would like to view.

  4. Click on the [ View ] link in the Action column.

How to: Edit a Service’s SSL Certificate

  1. Click the Server menu item if it is not already open.

  2. Click the SSL Certificates menu item.

  3. Locate the service that you would like to edit.

  4. Click on the [ Edit ] link in the Action column.

  5. Enter the Private Key.

  6. Enter the SSL Certificate.

  7. Most services require that they be restarted before the SSL Certificates will be applied. The service restarts are usually very fast, and you shouldn’t notice any significant service interruption.

    1. Select Yes if you would like the services to be restarted immediately.

    2. Select No if you don’t want the services to be restarted immediately.

  8. Click the Save button.

How to: Generate a Self-Signed SSL Certificate

  1. Click the Server menu item if it is not already open.

  2. Click the SSL Certificates menu item.

  3. Click on the [ Generate a Self-Signed SSL Certificate ] link.

  4. Enter all of the required information.

  5. If you would like the certificate e-mailed to you, check the E-mail SSL Certificate checkbox and enter your e-mail address.

  6. Select which services the SSL Certificate should be installed to upon generation.

  7. Most services require that they be restarted before the SSL Certificates will be applied. The service restarts are usually very fast, and you shouldn’t notice any significant service interruption.

    1. Select Yes if you would like the services to be restarted immediately.

    2. Select No if you don’t want the services to be restarted immediately.

  8. Click the Generate button.

How to: Update All SSL Certificates on Services

  1. Click the Server menu item if it is not already open.

  2. Click the SSL Certificates menu item.

  3. Click on the [ Update All Services ] link.

  4. Select the services that you wish you update.

  5. Most services require that they be restarted before the SSL Certificates will be applied. The service restarts are usually very fast, and you shouldn’t notice any significant service interruption.

    1. Select Yes if you would like the services to be restarted immediately.

    2. Select No if you don’t want the services to be restarted immediately.

  6. Enter the Private Key.

  7. Enter the SSL Certificate.

  8. Click the Save button.
