How to: Manage Subdomains

Subdomains are domains with the format sub.mydomain.com. They refer to the /home/user/mydomain.com/html/{sub} directory when they are created, replacing {sub} with the corresponding subdomain prefix.

Subdomains in InterWorx do not have their own vhost or docroot. If a docroot or vhost is required for a subdomain, a secondary domain in the sub.domain.com format should be created, instead.

To Add a Subdomain

  1. Log into SiteWorx from the browser (https://ip.ad.dr.ess:2443/siteworx)

  2. In SiteWorx, navigate to Hosting Features > Domains > Subdomain, either from the side menu or SiteWorx home

  3. Click +. This opens the Add a Subdomain form

  4. Select the desired domain from the dropdown and update the Subdomain field
